Tacos el Ivan, Sayulita

Simply the best al pastor taco I've ever had anywhere, ever. Look at it, it's hypnotizing and delicious. The salsas are incredible also.

Ivan's is only open at night, and not usually on Monday or Tuesday, seating is in the street and it's located on Revolution, just south of the bridge.

Pueblo Mágico

Yesterday the plaza in the heart of Sayulita received a fresh coat of paint and the sculpture was was cleaned up, repainted and moved. All of this was done in preparation for today's plaque unveiling and designation of Sayulita's status as a "Pueblo Mágico". The president of the state of Nayarit, the Mayor, and the tourism board were all in attendance.

A "Magical Village" is a place with symbolism, legends, history, important events, day-to-day life – in other words, "magic" in its social and cultural manifestations, with great opportunities for tourism.

It's nice to see the unique vibe of Sayulita recognized by the state.

Sayulita 2014 Part II

View of the San Pancho estuary.

A day I'll never forget. We were taken to what I now call "Secret Beach", located down the road a bit from Sayulita. Turn right on that dirt path, continue through a short stretch of insane jungle & stay to the right. You'll know you're there when you see the sunbathing black cow and no one else. Paradise.

Seriously, a rainbow over Sayulita on St. Patricks day.

Sunsets in San Pancho are always great, you can always catch the sun setting on the horizon. During the winter months in Sayulita the sun sets behind the tree line above Playa Los Muertos.

Good night San Pancho.
